Habitat
This is a quiet, nocturnal, skink. From one specimen to a trio can be kept in a 20- gallon, long terrarium. A greater number of specimens require a larger tank. This is a cool forest and stream- edge species. Therefore, a semi- aquatic terrarium is suggested. The terrarium substrate should be consisting of several inches of slightly moistened soil, over which a layer of leaf litter is strewn. Hiding areas, and a receptacle of water in which this lizard may occasionally submerge, should be provided. Besides, please provide some logs for climbing purpose.
Food
Earthworms are a flavored food. In addition, a variety of insects, some finely chopped mixture will all be sampled. Dust insects with vitamin D3 – calcium powder twice weekly for baby skinks.
