the most visible lizards in Kenya, thought some
skinks and geckos may have been more common.*
Habitat Supply lots of climbing areas,
basking areas as well as hiding places of logs,
rocks and bark. Sociability They are social species,
often found in groups. However, males can become
territorial, keep separate from other males. Food
Carnivores. Insect: crickets, locusts, mealworm,
and waxworm. Offer a variety for proper nutrition.
Also use good vitamin supplement. Water
Requires only a small water dish for drinking. Change
water regularly. Require only low levels of humidity. Lighting
Day: basking point // 32°c, cool point // 27°c
Night: 23.5 - 27ºC
Use full spectrum 5% UVB lighting 12-14 hours perday.
Provide a basking area with access to cooler area.
