What is Nitrate?
All organic waste in a normal running aquarium will eventually be turn into nitrate (NO3) via a process call nitrification that happen in the biological filter. Often that’s the end of the process for any conventional aquarium filtration system. To remove the accumulations of the nitrate (NO3), water changes was the only method. But even so, that might still not be enough to bring nitrate (NO3) to a healthy level.

But now with the AquaSystem Nitratreductor N700, everything makes easy. The Nitratreductor N700 is able to filter what is unable to filter by the conventional filters, the nitrate (NO3). And what is even better then that is that the only bi-products are nitrogen and carbon dioxide gas.

How does the Nitratreductor do it?
The Nitratreductor N700 uses a process call the denitrification which only happens in an anaerobic environment to breakdown the nitrate (NO3). Denitratication  is a process where anaerobic bacteria utilize nitrate (NO3) as substitute of oxygen for metabolism. Nitratreductor N700 also comes with Aqua Medic Deni ball which supply the anaerobic bacteria with food to enhance their metabolism thus the denitrification process.
